The Masters in Public Administration (MPA) is designed in order to impact advance knowledge and prepare students for active participation in the furtherance of knowledge in the socio-political, economic and administrative development of the nation as well as building up a reservoir of expertise for public policy analysis and consultancy services for political office holders, government agencies and delivery of services to the government and the populace. The Masters in Public Administration provides advanced courses and research activities towards attaining competence in public policy and management.
To prepare graduates for public leadership by enhancing their knowledge and developing their skills for careers in public service.
Candidates for Professional Postgraduate Studies in the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa must have obtained at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects in WASC, NECO, GCE (ordinary level or their equivalents,) at not more than two (2) sittings. Credit passes are required for English language and Mathematics.
Note: Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics are required for all the Courses EXCEPT MPA which accept a Pass in Math and a Credit pass in English Language.
Specific Requirements:
Candidates who possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant areas from OAUSTECH or other recognized universities with a minimum of Second Class Honours.
Candidates with Third Class Honours Degree or HND (in relevant areas) with appropriate Postgraduate Diploma from any other recognized institutions with minimum of Second Class Lower (or at least Upper Credit in the Postgraduate Diploma). In addition, the holders of HND, PGD/PGDE certificates should satisfy the basic School Certificate or GCE Ordinary Level entry requirements.
