    The institute runs the following programmes.

    Stem Education (PGDE)

    Aim: The primary objective of the Institute of STEM Education is to meet the urgent need to train current teachers in the state who have not received training in the field of education and other prospective teachers. The institute is to co-operate with other agencies on general matters of educational interests, to update teachers’ academics and professional knowledge so as to adequately cope with current demands of globalization. A high level of professional preparation and the ability to adapt to changing situation are among the competencies emphasized in the teacher education section of the NPE (2014). The Institute is to run programmes in Postgraduate Diploma in Education and higher degrees in Education.
